Runway Introduction
Runway is a tool for loading assessment data into an Ed-Fi ODS, and then into downstream applications like Stadium, Podium, or Rally.
Runway takes assessment results files as produced by the vendor, transforms it to the Ed-Fi standard, and loads it to the ODS via the API. If the vendor has an automated way to retrieve these data (such as an API or SFTP), we can schedule this process automatically. If not, Runway enables district assessment teams to load the files they receive from vendors.
Note: While data lands in Ed-Fi immediately, it will land in downstream products based on the pull schedule determined by your organization.
Who should use Runway?
Runway is intended for district-level staff who manage assessments, i.e. whoever receives or has access to the data coming from assessment vendors. Do note that users of Runway can access previously uploaded files, so all Runway users are presumed to have the rights to see data from all students in the district.
