  • Updates have been made to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page in the Rally Knowledge Base. The FAQs now include information on Printing capabilities, the Groups feature, and College and Career Readiness.

Bug Fixes:

  • Update to Rally Student Data Sync

    • An issue where the 25-26 Fall Assessment scores for myIGDIS were not appearing for Pre-K students has been resolved. The scores had been successfully loaded into Rally, but a synchronization gap prevented them from displaying for classroom teachers. Teachers will now see all processed Fall myIGDIS assessments data for current PK students.

Improvements:

  • For district partners who have not administered the Well-being survey, the well-being tab will no longer show. Once data is populated through completion of the survey, the well-being tab will be available to users.

  • Security Review for GitHub Actions: Conducted a review of GitHub Actions usage based on OpenSSF guidance.

    • Confirmed current usage is low-risk.

    • Identified opportunities for continued adherence to best practices (e.g., dependency pinning and monitoring).

  • Descriptor Value Updates (SCDE Request)
    Updated descriptor handling for South Carolina to use short descriptions instead of code values for the following:

    • gradingPeriodDescriptor

    • gradeTypeDescriptor

    • disciplineDescriptor

    • countryDescriptor

    • This ensures consistency with SCDE requirements and aligns Rally with upstream Stadium data change

Bug Fixes:

  • Tenant Switching Session Handling
    Fixed an issue where switching tenants did not properly terminate the previous session.

    • Attempting to switch to a tenant without access now correctly invalidates the prior session.

    • Users are no longer able to remain authenticated under a previous tenant after a failed login attempt.

    • Prevents inconsistent states where users could unintentionally continue accessing data from another tenant.

  • Labeling of the Early Childhood assessments will now include "myIGDIS" to identify those assessments more clearly. This is a fix in South Carolina.

  • The Performance Task Assessment sub-scores that have a scale of 0 have been adjusted to be viewed in the assessment tab for districts in South Carolina who use that

Summary:

  • This release includes visual improvements for assessments and other charts, updated documentation on the Group Feature for Teachers, and bug fixes. For South Carolina users, Performance Task Assessment is now available to users.

New features:

  • Performance Task Assessment is now available to users in South Carolina. The assessment is used in the identification of candidates for gifted groups.

Improvements:

  • In the aggregate assessment view, the "View as Table" button will be shown in the default visual. Users will no longer need to click into the visual to view assessment tables.

  • Tooltips for charts on classroom absenteeism and percentage passing are now visible when viewing those charts.

  • Documentation for the Group Feature for Teachers is now available in the Knowledge Base. This documentation provides Teachers with a walk-through of the feature with how to create, how to edit, and some use cases.

Bug fixes:

  • A bug related to the STAR early literacy scores not appearing in Rally has been resolved. These scores should now be available for users.

Summary

This release allows teachers to create student group within their classrooms. The release also includes several bugs were fixed related to assessment views, enrollments, and College/Career Readiness business rules.

Breaking features:

New features:

  • The Teacher Group Creation Feature is being rolled out across partners. The features allows teachers to create student groups from their classroom rosters using a section-specific or all-classes scope. An additional overview of that feature can be found in our knowledge base.

  • The Student View in Rally now displays assessment scores without additional interaction. Each assessment will display the student's score by default. If an assessment includes performance levels, teachers will now see both the score and the performance level for their students.

Improvements:

Bug fixes:

  • An error in the College and Career Readiness tab did not show the correct fulfillment of credits for some students. This issue has been fixed.

  • PSAT data was not surfaces in Rally for some districts. This issue was resolved for those users.

  • We have corrected the data logic within the College and Career Readiness tab to ensure accuracy in credit tracking. The system now properly calculates the conversion between displays the credits earned correctly, providing educators with a reliable view of every student's progress toward graduation requirements.

  • MAP screening assessments were included in Rally summative predictions. These screening scores have been removed from the predictions. MAP scores are still included.

  • Educators should now see enrollments in both the virtual courses and virtual programs.

Improvements:

  • Cloud Formation Security Scanning and Linting: This improvement streamlines our CloudFormation workflow by integrating cfn-lint and Checkov directly into the pipeline. These tools automatically audit our templates for logical errors, formatting consistency, and critical security risks—like open ports or malformed bucket policies—before deployment. Additionally, we’ve optimized the backend buildspec.yml to leverage image and layer caching more effectively. In testing, these improvements have cut backend build times by up to 50%, though a full rebuild will still occur when new node dependencies are added or significant application changes are made.

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where iReady was not being displayed on the Performance-Over-Time graph.

  • The horizontal scroll bar was not functioning in mobile views. A fix was implemented and users are now able to use the horizontal scrollbar when using the Mobile navigation view.

  • Fixed an issue with the Student Print view were dates were out of sync with the Attendance view. The bug has been fixed where the dates now match.

  • The "View All" and the "View as Table" were not visible in the at a glance tab for recent assessments. This has been corrected so that the links now work.

  • Behavior count for the student tab had a differing font type and size than the rest of the Behavior tab. The issue has been updated and fonts are now corrected.

  • Rally is now available in a mobile-optimized layout, making it easier than ever to access key information on the go. The updated experience is fully responsive and designed to work seamlessly on smaller screens, including devices as compact as an iPhone SE (375px breakpoint). Whether you’re moving between meetings, classrooms, or campuses, Rally now adapts to your device, delivering a cleaner, more accessible experience wherever you are.

  • SC-Pass Assessment data has been loaded for view in Rally for districts in South Carolina.

Improvements

  • Missing data for assessments will be shown as "no data" instead of "not taken".

  • Student At-A-Glance grading periods will show as the grading period + display year, e.g., Q1 2025-2026.

Bug Fixes

  • The navigation bar on the desktop version of Rally now displays at 1024px correctly.

  • Passing/Non-passing course counts no longer display in Rally. This is a short-term solution as the product team determines how to display that data correctly when partners are not pushing letter grade.

  • The names for FastBridge Math and English will now be appended with "early" for those early assessments.

  • The Mastery View Performance Assessment has a correction to the Performance over Time graph that shows the student grade level and assessment name.

These additions broaden assessment visibility and reporting capabilities, allowing districts to analyze student performance across more benchmarks for K-6 reading, early math, Pre-K and Kindergarten readiness, and college-readiness measures.

  • MOREnet STAR and i-Ready Data
    STAR and iReady assessment data is now available for our partners in MOREnet. iReady allows educators to review student progress in math and reading. STAR provides educators with highly accurate predictors of student success.

Bug Fixes

  • A fix was put in place for the sorting order of assessments. The sorting order is corrected to show accurately.

Summary

The Rally team delivers in this release quality-of-life enhancements across behavior workflows and predictions, includes a major Node.js upgrade for performance and security, and fixes an issue impacting 2025–26 MAP math subscores. No breaking changes are included.

  • PreACT (South Carolina): PreACT assessment data is now available for South Carolina users, supporting early college readiness insights and planning.

  • Clickable student names in Behavior tab: Student names are now clickable within the Classroom Behavior tab, allowing quick navigation directly to the student detail page for faster context and follow-up.

  • Prediction types are case-agnostic : Prediction handling has been updated to ignore upper vs. lower case differences, reducing errors and improving consistency when working with prediction data.

Improvements

  • Upgrade Node.js to v24: The application has been upgraded to Node v24, improving overall platform performance, stability, and security. These backend and platform-level improvements result from the Node.js upgrade enhance reliability and long-term maintainability.

Bug Fixes

  • 25–26 MAP scores not showing in Rally : Fixed an issue where MAP Math sub-scores for the 2025–26 school year were not displaying in Rally. Sub-scores now appear correctly as expected.

Known Issues

PreACT: In some cases, score ranges do not align with the performance levels defined in PreACT documentation. This issue is related to underlying data inconsistencies, not Rally’s display logic.

Summary

This release introduces several key updates across assessments, College and Career Readiness (CCR) displays, and SAT logic. The MYIGDIS assessment is now available in South Carolina, and multiple bug fixes improve clarity, usability, and performance across science assessments, well-being tooltips, table views, and graduation course logic. Additionally, SAT visuals and logic have been updated to reflect the 1040 cut score in South Carolina. No breaking changes are included in this release.

Known Issues

  • Continued monitoring of data import workflows for newly added assessments.

  • Additional CCR usability enhancements are planned for upcoming releases.

  • EA's current logic is currently overcounting CTE Completers, who may not have actually earned the certification. The specific issue has been identified and a fix will be in place by the end of 2025.

  • There have been many reports of specific courses not counting for various requirements. This is due to the underlying course metadata being outdated. EA is working with SCDE to obtain an updated file, and long term we plan to switch to using the Satchel API for daily course attribute updates.

    • Please ensure that CCR courses have a grade term of F1 or Y1, as these are the only values accepted in the models.

    • All course metadata will be sourced from Satchel besides for dual enrollment courses. This is due to the fact that dual enrollment course governance happens at the district level and is not captured in Satchel. EA and SCDE are thinking about ways to capture this data in a timely way.

  • Removed the old demo App Launcher login strategy, simplifying authentication logic within Rally.

  • Added usage tracking features in Matomo to improve visibility into user engagement and activity patterns.

  • Resolved unauthenticated login issues in the dev environment — users are now able to log in successfully.

  • Assessments: Added ELL subject to the ACCESS assessment, expanding coverage for English Language Learners and improving assessment accuracy.

    The app launcher in the demo environment has been updated for improved usability and alignment with the production experience.

Known issues

  • Missing performance levels
    In aggregate views, if a student is missing a performance level on an objective assessment (when one is expected), they will now appear as “missing” in the stacked bar chart. The student’s individual score can still be accessed by navigating to that student’s profile.

  • Demo site data
    Assessments still unavailable for many students in Demo data. Attendance data appears as 'incomplete.'

  • Assessment & Subscore Sort Order
    In aggregate views, the sort order of assessments and subscore-level data may still vary across pages. Work is underway to define a consistent ordering structure.

  • Navigation Menu Display on Smaller Screens
    On laptop-sized or smaller displays, the “Logout” option may overlap with the navigation bar, reducing usability.

  • Inaccessible Table View in Assessments Without Objective Scores
    The table view toggle remains unavailable for assessments that lack underlying objective-level scores.

  • Incorrect Grade-Level Association for MAP Scores
    Some students (those repeating a grade level) may have MAP scores associated with the incorrect grade level. This issue is still under investigation.
